Interior Architecture and Design Services

Queenstown Interiors was established in 2001 and our Wanaka Interiors design studioand shop was opened in 2017.

We are a local business run by long term locals and we have an empathy with our environment and the importance of creating a home that is an expression of you and your family that reflects your history and how you live.

 Stages for a Design Project

 

Initial Consultation

We can have a chat over the phone or by email or Zoom to discuss your project and how we can assist you.  We can check over your plans, get some early ideas of what you require and from there we can put together a proposal outlining our services for your project.

Design/Concept Stage

For new builds or renovations we offer the following services;

  • Kitchen + bathroom design + joinery design to concept drawing stage
  • Furniture layout recommendations
  • Selection of colour scheme for interior and exterior
  • Selection of flooring, wall, ceiling and other finishes relating to the home
  • Selection of bathroom, kitchen and laundry fittings
  • Lighting selection

Documentation Stage

Once we have approval for the concept designs we can then proceed to working drawing stage that would be suitable for trades to quote from, obtaining council approval (if required) and construction.

Design Management/Building Phase

During the building stage we can liaise with the client/building contractor to ensure that design elements are adhered to.  At this point we can also supply  other items for example  tiles/lighting/flooring/bathroom fittings.

Procurement

At around the documentation stage we would also be establishing the interior furnishings and window treatments for the project. We offer a full service for the supply and installation of all window treatments and soft-furnishings including rugs, art and bespoke furniture.  This can also incorporate existing pieces which may include refurbishment of special items as required. We have an extensive supply network that can translate to beneficial savings to our clients.

Installation

The final part of the jig-saw is installation.  We can handle all installation requirements including meeting delivery trucks- taking care of rubbish, cleaning and generally making ready for moving in.

We are  located at Unit 13 The Landing, 5 Hawthorne Drive, Frankton and 59 Brownston St Wanaka.  Our stores are packed full of lovely fabrics and accessories so if you’re just wanting to browse or get some advice with regards to curtain or upholstery fabrics please call in.  We can supply an obligation free quote for all of the following;

  • Curtains/blinds/shutters
  • Cushions/squabs and loose covers
  • Re-Upholstery
  • Bedding, including valances, duvets, bedspreads, pillows/sheets etc.
